Bed & Breakfast at Rathsallagh House
A country house set in 530 acres of peaceful parkland with its own walled garden.
Cannot recommend Rathsallagh highly enough! Loveliest hotel room we have ever stayed in, extremely helpful staff, beautiful food, relaxed atmosphere. Perfect.
We really enjoyed our recent stay at Rathsallagh House. We received a wonderfully warm welcome from each and every staff member we encountered during our brief stay. The accommodation was extremely comfortable, the food superb.
Had a wonderful time. I’m sure you get 5 stars most of the time so would like to add an extra star for the staff if I could. They were great.
Converted from Queen Anne stables in 1798, Rathsallagh is a large 4-star Grade A country house on the Wicklow / Kildare border set in 530 acres of peaceful parkland with its own walled garden, all surrounded by the magnificent Rathsallagh Golf Club. Rathsallagh is central to some of the most beautiful countryside in Ireland’s Ancient East yet Dublin is less than one hour’s drive away.
The atmosphere is happy and relaxed with log and turf fires, central heating throughout and luxurious bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. Rathsallagh has 29 rooms in total, eight rooms in the old house, nine in the first courtyard and twelve in the inner Courtyard. There are an additional three rooms in our Gate Lodge and three more in Eagle Lodge.
Various elements combine to make Rathsallagh one of Ireland’s finest dining experiences including the splendour of its dining and drawing rooms and its kitchen’s eagerness to explore new cutting-edge cooking techniques tempered by an understanding of the central importance of flavour and a commitment to offering home produced or local ingredients where possible. The dining room has an impressive wine list featuring all the great appellations. Breakfast in Rathsallagh is an experience in itself and has won the National Breakfast Awards three times.
