Bed & Breakfast at Belleek Castle
Historical and romantic castle in 1000 acres of woodland on the banks of the River Moy.
One of the true highlights of our 2 weeks in Ireland. Excellent staff, all very accommodating and genuinely friendly/helpful. Wonderful spacious room with 4 poster bed, like stepping back in time, but with a modern ensuite.
A lovely place to visit. Totally memorable and a authentic manor house experience. The staff are very accommodating and the room was amazing. The restaurant food was stunning. Our best hotel experience in Ireland so far.
An amazing place to stay, small and intimate, with very friendly and attentive staff. You feel very much at home in such beautiful surroundings. The jewel in the crown though is the food, beautifully presented and not too fussy.
Historic Belleek Castle is informal, hassle-free and friendly, rich in decor and antiquities, with many open log fires to warm your steps back through half a millennium. The neo-gothic Country House, dating from 1831, has not lost its flavour by over modernisation and was built on the site of the 14th century Belleek Abbey.
Dine in the “Library Restaurant” at Bellek Castle and experience Irish culinary delights. The resturant has received a number of awards over the years and in 2017 was awarded the “Best Restaurant in Connaught” at the Good Eating Guide Awards in Dublin. Belleek Castle also won “Best Customer Service in Mayo” and “Best Customer Service in Connaught” at the prestigious “Irish Restaurant Awards”.
The castle simply is the perfect base to explore this beautiful area on the route of the Wild Atlantic Way. It is set in a ‘walking friendly’ forest, has so much interesting history and houses one of the finest collections of Mediaeval European Armour in Ireland, plus a collection of fossils, including Jurassic dinosaurs.
