AP Brickwork

Abbeygrove, Navan, Co. Meath

AP Brickwork is a specialist heritage brickwork and conservation firm specialising in traditional lime pointing, brick and stone repairs for historic buildings, period property and architectural conservation areas. Traditional materials like lime mortar are used to retain the original character of your property. Brick and stone is faithfully repaired to match the existing structure.

AP Brickwork is run by Adrian, a brickwork specialist with over 25 years experience. We are acknowledged by conservation professionals and heritage organisations and have been entrusted with prominent conservation projects such as the repair of the gauged arches at St Pancras Station in London, flint stonework repairs at the Dashwood Mausoleum in High Wycombe and brickwork repairs at the Wimpole Folly in Cambridge. The majority of our work has been on residential period properties throughout London, where Adrian was based for many years. He has now relocated back to Ireland and is providing his skills and expertise to conservation projects here.

Traditional lime mortar can be used to build with and point brickwork, stonework, etc. Lime mortar can come in many forms and has so many uses. Flush pointing is a common style, but can look unique with the aggregate used in the mortar mix. Tuck pointing is a highly skilled style where very fine joints are created to give a decorative look to the brickwork. AP Brickwork specialises in all styles of lime mortar pointing.
