Larkfield House (meaning the field of Larks) is a property with a very historic past standing on approximately 2.13 acres and situated on the outskirts of Killanne village and approximately 13km to Enniscorthy town and Exit 25 off the M11 motorway to Dublin.
The main house dates from the 18th Century and is said to have housed officers in the rebellion of 1798. The rear of the main residence was added in the early part of the 18th century and housed local dispensary and many doctors lived there between 1845 and 1957, the first of which was Dr. George Laing.
On entering the main hallway, you are greeted by a once magnificent stairway while there is a large dining room and drawing room either side, the drawing room having a beautiful arch window. The accommodation is completed by a kitchen, living room and guest W.C. on the ground floor.
Upstairs there are four large bedrooms and a bathroom. Inside it is a large house at 194 sq meters with four bedrooms and three reception rooms. Particularly striking however is the peaceful setting of the house looking over mature lawns and bounded by tremendous trees.
If you are looking for a project that you could do truly great things with, or just a site with a sense of place to make a future in, this could be the one!
