Everything was exceptional, wonderful for our large extended family, thanks again – we made lovely memories.
As we drove up the avenue, we saw we were in for a treat but nothing could prepare us for the fun and memories we shared. The house has a lovely relaxed feel that helped us embrace living in such grandeur. I am so excited that my children, nieces and nephews got to experience a place like it. It will go down in the family history as being an exceptional holiday.

The Story of Rockfield: Rockfield House is a gem of Irish architecture set in rolling County Meath countryside just a mile from the town of Kells. The estate, which was originally owned by the Rothwell family, dates back to the seventeenth century.
In May 2022 the Murtagh Family from nearby Causey Farm bought Rockfield House with a dream to set up a foster and adoptive family support centre. House rental and all other events go towards funding this Nurturing in Nature project.
The house is a stunning nine-bay three-storey mansion surrounded by stone courtyards and with a three-acre walled garden to one side. The stone cantilever staircase and the columns in the entrance hall and library are well worth seeing (and provide the perfect backdrop for portraits while you are here).
The well-stocked library is complete with secret doors which lead to a grand drawing room and an elegant dining room. The billiards room, delightful sitting rooms and ten sumptuous bedrooms form a unique place.
Create wonderful new memories as you relax by the log fire, prepare and share meals together in our well stocked kitchen, browse through our library, play billiards in our games room or wander the grounds and meet your animal neighbours. The house sleeps up to 27 with accommodation for another 5 available in our adjoining fully serviced apartment. Chef and housekeeping available on request.
