Conservation & Restoration Cleaning Ltd are specialists in cleaning historic buildings such as churches, castles, monuments, government buildings and more. Conserving the delicate fabric of old buildings is our main objective and we can remove dirt gently from all types of stone, bricks, iron, glass, lime plaster, etc.

We use Doff Cleaning for the gentle removal of flexible paints, graffiti, algae, moss and more. The Doff system is unique in achieving temperatures up to 150 degrees at the nozzle end – making it a ‘superheated water system’. Designed and developed to effectively remove paint, biological matter and general dirt and grime without causing harm or shock to the substrate. We use Torc Cleaning for the gentle removal of carbon sulphation, brittle paints, limescale and more. The Torc system creates a gentle swirling vortex using a mixture of low air pressure, little water and a safe inert fine granulate.

Our past projects include Waterford Courthouse (external facade cleaning of granite), Limerick Courthouse (external facade cleaning of limestone and graffiti removal, roof slate cleaning and internal cleaning of brickwork), St Davnets Church in Monaghan (internal paint removal from decorative brickwork), Cooke Mausoleum in Co. Westmeath (external cleaning of limestone prior to restoration), Palmerston Park Shelter in Dublin 6 (external cleaning of terracotta roof tiles and external and internal cleaning of bricks from paint and graffiti), Kildare Town 16th Century Tower House (external cleaning of castle prior to lime harling) and Killahara Castle, Co. Tipperary (external cleaning prior to lime render and internal cleaning of limestone prior to lime whitewash).
