Self-Catering Accommodation at Lisnavagh
An exquisite private country retreat in Carlow with self-catering farm cottages and stables.
Thank you to you and William for hosting us at the weekend, we had a truly splendid time. Lisnavagh House made it for us and you were an amazing host. Your home is beautiful and we wish you all the best.
I went to a friend’s wedding here, and stayed in one of their cottages, which was delightful and really old.
Lisnavagh is one of Ireland’s hidden gems. Surrounded by utterly beautiful gardens and landscape, the old estate house itself is wonderful, and the hosts (the Bunbury’s) friendly and accommodating.
Stunning. Magical. Beautiful. Personal. As guests we felt so cared for throughout the whole weekend.
If you are looking for a country getaway close to Dublin you can stay in any one of the different old stone and restored cottages and our renovated courtyard stables on Lisnavagh Estate. Based on 600 acres of parkland and woodland among exclusive surroundings you can enjoy wonderful walks and peace and tranquillity only just over an hour from Dublin City Centre. Please contact us to find out more about our self-catering stays.
Our converted stables are for those who want quirky, fun and cosy double bedrooms with an ensuite bathroom. There is an ad hoc facility for tea and coffee or a full fry up in an adjoining outbuilding otherwise known as ‘The Barn’, which is perfect for couples or groups to get together as well as just hanging out. The Courtyard Stables are situated on site just around the corner from Lisnavagh House.
The Lodge at Lisnavagh is situated at the original front entrance to Lisnavagh Estate. It has been redesigned with a modern twist to link the old granite buildings dating back to the mid-19th century. Other self-catering options include The Lodge, The Groom’s Cottage, The Schoolhouse, Farm Cottage and Blacksmiths Cottage. All the cottages have oil fired central heating and logs for the fires. We supply cots, highchairs, bed linen and towels and each cottage has it’s own private garden.
