Welcome to Springfield Castle, the ancestral home of Lord and Lady Muskerry. The castle is situated in the heart of County Limerick on a magical 200 acre wooded estate and is approached along a magnificent three quarter mile long avenue, lined with ancient lime trees.

Our Castle is approved as a wedding venue by the HSE for civil weddings as well as wedding blessing ceremonies. While the castle and tower sleep a maximum of 25 guests with luxury accommodation, we can cater for up to 35 guests for a wedding dinner in the East Tower dining room but for larger weddings of up to 70 (or for a different style), guests can eat in the Green Room. Springfield Castle is a unique venue, exclusively yours to enjoy. There is no formula at Springfield and we can tailor the wedding to suit the couple, meaning each wedding is individual. You, your family and friends will have fond memories to treasure forever. Betty, Jonathan, Karen, Dan and the Springfield team will ensure that your special day will be one to remember. The castle features a Neo Gothic style main residential building, cornered by two towers, one the large Irish tower house built in the 15th Century and the smaller tower built later in the 18th Century enclosing a large central courtyard. The home is furnished with elegant antiques and the walls display family portraits but it is also fully equipped for modern life in the 21st Century.

Well what can I say when your daughter gets married in a castle for her fairy tale wedding? Springfield Castle was amazing from top to bottom. The owners and their staff were very attentive to all our needs. The 13 bedrooms were comfy and cozy. The ceremony, dinner and reception rooms were all amazing. For an unbelievable and affordable wedding with an amazing backdrop, Springfield is a great choice.
