Welcome to Springfield Castle, the ancestral home of Lord and Lady Muskerry. The castle is situated in the heart of County Limerick on a magical 200 acre wooded estate and is approached along a magnificent three quarter mile long avenue, lined with ancient lime trees. This is the perfect place for a boutique wedding or private stay with luxury accommodation for family and friends. Betty, Jonathan, Karen and family will ensure that your visit will be one to remember.
Springfield Castle can accommodate up to 25 people in what are effectively ‘two castles’, the Castle itself and the newly renovated East Tower wing. It is ideal for large family reunions and gatherings, celebrations and special events as well as small intimate weddings. You can rent the whole castle or you have the option to just rent one part to suit your group size. We can cater for up to a maximum of 90 guests for a wedding dinner in the courtyard house. Our castle is approved as a wedding venue by the HSE for civil weddings and civil partnerships as well as wedding blessing ceremonies. The wedding ceremony room is in the restored 15th century tower house.
The two castles are both fully equipped with their own entrances, courtyards, hallways, dining rooms, kitchens and drawing rooms. Whether you rent all of the property or just one part you will enjoy privacy and luxury. This is a unique venue, exclusively yours to enjoy, and has a wealth of breathtaking locations that make a perfect backdrop for wedding photographs. You, your family and friends will have fond memories to treasure forever.
