Designed by local architect Micheal Priestly, Prehen was originally built for Andrew Knox, MP for County Donegal in 1740. Prehen was later acquired by Julian and Carola Peck in 1971 – descendants of another Knox family branch. Mariga Guinness, co-founder of The Irish Georgian Society and close family friend, assisted Carola in the redecoration of the property and together they created one of the most admired interiors in the country.
